Cockey bastard

The consequences being, im now off the team!

Played Circus last night as most of you know, and having arrived in town to realise id left my wallet at home, wasn’t too pleased with myself.  A 20 minute drive home to get it meant i was unlikely to come back, so i decided to see who else was around in the casino to see if i could do a ‘harrison’.  Just my luck.. noone about.  Decide to give Skip a call and see if he’s playing, disappointingly it didnt sound like good news, as he’d only just got home (19:50 by this time) and he couldnt be arsed.  I manage to talk him round, and i tell Gary to stick my and Walker into the tourny. Weee

Im drawn in seat 1 (again!) meaning im stuck dealing, and proceed to play like an absolute arse for the 1st two levels.  Skip even offers to buy me some fajitas too being the legend that he is. 

Just before the break i get moved tables, thank god.. i can now play some cards.  First hand i see is 33 on the button and i call a standard raise from a Canadian Ice Hockey player (a bit random) deciding ill get aggressive on any raggy flop.  The flop comes A 7 4 (all hearts), he bets about 2 thirds of the pot.  At this point i put him on a relatively big ace, and assuming his ace isn’t a heart, my 3 of hearts is probably good should a 4th heart come.  I call looking to 3-bet the turn regardless of what comes and it just so happens, the 3 of diamonds lands to scoop me a nice pot (he had A4 of clubs) oops!

We go for a break and i’m looking quite well stacked.  Polish off the fajitas and its back to the game where skipper decides to raise from the cutoff every orbit!  As he’s stealing my button from me every time im keeping notes of this.  The 4th time he does it, i look down at A3 off and snap min-re-raise on the button.  Skipper tanks… and calls.  The flop comes A A 9 and Gaz checks to me.  I bet, like i would with anything and Walker calls. A 2 on the turn and Walker checks.. i check behind trying to suggest i’ve shut down.  An 8 on the river and Skip checks again.  I bet, giving him about 87 to 1 on a call and he can’t resist calling with what i would later find out was pocket jacks.  Not a happy team captain.

Skipper, later crippled in the big blind shoves after i raise UTG (and Casey Jones calls).  It’s an underraise so we both call.  The flop comes 10 10 4 (two diamonds).  Check Check and the turn is free, putting another diamond out.  Hoping the iceman has a diamond i bet, but he folds reluctantly.  Gaz then quickly shows me the ace of diamonds telling me he’s drawing to the nut flush, but when i table my pocket fours i get a hefty slap on the back of the heed.  “ayyye you’re drawing deed skip..”. Woops

So aye, to recap.. Walkerton not only comes to play the game which he wasnt going to, buys me in, buys me dinner, looks after his team like a Pro.. i then go on to 3-bet him pre with A3 off, and knock him out when i flop a full boat.  Consequently im now off the team lads, GG WP UL.  See you around.
