Walkers Sensations Poker

Weeeeeee only a week and a day away, The Sensations take a trip to Manchester to support the forum team, and out very own SamJ who is in the Apat team. There will be a very good number of Sensations there (Buzzzzz, Skipper, Spoona, Andrizu, Milo and Myself, if someone else is coming from the team, i dont no). I for one cant wait for the weekend, if its anything like Dublin then i will leave a happy lad, lets gogogogogo

Thought id do a quick (very quick) post on here as its been a bit dead recently.

o.k december i decided i would take a bit of a break from poker, due to christmas etc etc but i still played the odd hour here and there but very very little volume, but managed to turn in a pretty tidy 900$ or so profit online for the month, which considering i played maybe 30 hours for the whole month online im over the moon with. i was pretty much only playing 50.1 cash tables on full tilt, 6-max and 6-tabling so a lot of aggression etc, so thts a very nice bonus to the roll even from a very lazy month. cant actualy remember if i played live during December, so certainly nothing worth remembering!!!

a couple of days after new year a few people headed down to jonlundy’s new pad in houghton-le-spring for a chinese n a few beers etc etc the plan was to stay one night only, however, having being told by jon to move “the brava” further down the drive, i ended up not being able to get my car off the drive for a whole week in the 7 inches of snow that were lying, FML. so i ended up spending the week monday-sunday at his house lol the week started alrite, after 3 days i was around 4004 in profit, which included being 0/8 for cashes in mtt’s, think made a couple of buyin’s at both 6 max 50.1 and heads up 50.1, so was pretty happy with the start of the night. then however came the 2 day downswing, genuinly running bad and managed to drop about 9 buyins at 6 max 50.1 and a few hundo on mtt’s with no cashes again. so it comes to my lastnyt on saturday and i am inside of about a 1k hole for the week, when i load up 7 or 8 mtt’s accross FTP and PokerStars, ranging from 20$ to 100$, and cash in 3/7 including taking down the 32kGTd on ftp for 9.3k!!!!shiiiiip!!!!!well out of the hole for the week and a great start to the year. in all hnesty it was the easiest mtt iv ever played, i was a total cardrack and had all hands hold up, pokers easy if u run tht good!!!

What the future holds for 2010. I shall be playing as part of junlundy’s stable, which will be grinding 6 max cash with the occasional live mtt thrown in there, hopefully i can begin to play a serious full time volume of poker and approach it full as a job. i have a figure in my head which i want to have by the end of 2010 so hopefully i can achieve this:-)

Morning all, I aint posted for a while so i thought so i aint been 2 sleep 2nite and im bored shitless then id do a quick post!!!

Over Xmas saw my sharkscope, boost profits to over $900 and ROI to the tune of 30% over almost 400 MTTs and SNGs. This brings me for the 1st time ever to shark status on sharkscope, which am ttl happy about mainly this is down 2 stumpy spending alotta time with me to work on my online game and never gave up so i owe alot to him for the big improvement in my game over the last 6 month.

This month was also time for Mini FTOPS i only managed 2 play 3 which i was a little disapointed about, but was a pretty busy month!! I played event #1 which was a ttl disaster. Me and Samj played at andy carlins flat, 1st break ive got 12k from a 5k stack, and the internet ttly fails for 40mins….finally get back, just b4 next break where i squeeze out 1 last hand and get my stack at 13k from 10k.

Then just as break endsm internet fails again, so off we drive across newcastle to andys flat mates house, internet fails there, so i ring buzz to play for me while we walk 2 the Uni to juice their net, luckly buzz doubles me up 2 14k just as i get reconnected.

back on at last!!! build stack to around 16k then get JJ raise and get 2 callers outta blinds, flop comes 3c x 10c…SB open shoves for 11k into a 3k pot. My Insta read tells me flush draw and at least 1 over, which doesnt make me a massive favourite but theres still 4,000 odd players left so i take the flip for a stack and fail. This hand ttl cripples me, and end up tilted off the rest of my stack, a shit way to end a ttl shit nite!!!

The next 2 events are both the final 2 events, event #24 was a $12 KO i played so bad in this i cant even remember my exit hand, all i can remember was trhinkin i wasnt in the mood for the main event later that nite, but i thought id give it a shot.

7.5k starting stack, longish levels and 15,000+ ppl set me up for a long nite ahead. b4 1st break i am on 17.5k!! Key hand was KK v AK.

blinds 20/40 UTG raise to 250, every folds 2 me, i figure him for a strong hand and pop him to 1k of my 8.5k stack…he now ships it for 7k i think for a lil bit and call he has AK and i hold, followed by 10mins of abuse from him on the rail.

tbh it then gets a lil hazy, 8 hours later all i know is i sumhow get my stack, all be it swinging all over the place to 175k with 350 players left. Ive been card dead for around 2 hours and a lil 2 hand rush boosted my stack nicely, i then get KK, and pop it up, the button tank RRs me, i started the hand with around 17BBs just over half average, my intial thoughts are JJ+ and AK, but with my stack size i cant click the all in button quick enuff……only to get snapped by AA and its good nite at around 6am. $280 cash….but cudda been alot better

On Xmas morning i also binked a MTT for $350 , and then came 5th in same MTT xmas day for $108, not a bad xmas!!!

Friday night saw the Sensations Xmas night out with the 1st Annual awards to boot. Usually my reports of such occasions are Looseman like long, but unfortunately….Friday night i was very drunk myself, and the memory isnt what it should be like. However, i will strive to report to my full memory (wanting to blank some stuff out:D) and hopefully give people who werent there a feel for what was a truely SENSATIONAL night!

We start as arranged at my house. Me and Skipper have kept the awards a suprise, and decide to do this once everyone has arrived and a lil merry on the old drink. Buzz is the 1st to arrive at mine around 3:15, and very impressively gets straight on it downing becks left right and centre (and he looked a right treat, all dressed up). Az nxt then people arrive by the car load which left the lads there as: Papa shipper baller walker, Buzz, Avkid, Milo, Andrizu, Spoona, SamJ, Nath, Dom and Myself. Sensh was supposed to be there, but for some reason missed the whole night, actually there was a reason, the Ftops that was on that night appealled more and we moved on. Now Dom decided to bring the biggest bottle of Smirnoff ever with him, and we got on it and decided it was time for the awards. These went down very well and everyone had a good laugh with it. I booked the taxi’s for 9:30 which gave us time to get more drunk, and enjoy the amounts of alcohol we had left. This gap let us play killer pool, no lives, u miss a shot, u down. Obv everytime skipper potted a ball, picked up a que, fella over a sofa, of stood up, he got the hero’s applause he undoubtingly deserves. Ive booked 3 taxi’s 2, show leaving SamJ, Buzz and myself to wait. Now i rang on skippers phone for the taxi’s and decide that i must have rang blueline as its the only number i no, so us 3 are outside, freezing our nips off with me on the phone complaining, only to realize, i didnt book with blueline, so obv hung up. To my shear disbelief, a taxi drives past us within a min, and we flag it down, Aziz is welcoming and we get to revolution to meet the boys in the Q. Me and Dom get in and decide to go on a sweep of the building, he was checking the talent, me obv checking to see if the fire exits were in the correct pace and were excessable, we get a few drinks down our necks, Obv SamJ has been thrown out, for being so drunk, so quickly drink our drinks up and head for city vaults.
This is where the night for me turns sour!! on our trip up the side streets of Newcastle, Spoona and myself, maybe some more, i honestly dont remember got talking to some ‘older’ ladies, for some reason i find myself smoking (WTF!!) and we continue up the side street to City vaults. Now i cant for the life of me remember what i said to this women, but i ended up carrying her for a lil while then she tells me that she would get me a drink if i gave her a lil kiss. Well i’m obv not gonna turn that down, but wish i got a pint of vodka after this to forget what i had done. I find myself with this women in a doorway outside CV’s and being appauling. I can remember her saying though, and i’m sorry if i’m going into abit to much detail, but her saying ‘oh i see we are getting Hard’ to which i replied ‘i very much doubt it’, she decided to take it upon herself to check, and lets just say i was correct, she was doing nothing for me!! But hey free drink……NO, got away as quickly as poss, didnt want round 2 tbh. Now i cant commit to her age, guesses from the lads range from a kind 35 to a mean shout from Spoona of 60! i can confirm that she deffo didnt have a buspass, so thats ok.
We get into CV’s and head downstairs, where Buzzzz’s night turns for the worse. I think its a good idea to continue ordering shots, and so does Buzz and Spoona, so we do. They are lined up at the bar, and we go for it, downing these sambuca all over the shops. I got chattin to a nurse, but cant remember much else from there, for obv reason.
We are all very drunk, we decide for god knows what reason to go to bambu. In we pop, all very merry, and shots are ordered again, Walk around Bambu and its dead, so we think its best to leave…….but where is Buzzzz?!?! I had left a tad earlier to go to a cash machine and walk back to Bambu to see Mr Harvey being forced into a taxi, 4 men trying to get him in, Drive must have been desperate for the fare, as buzzz was a mess. In this time Nath, full of worry went to greggs. Now i found out in the morning, that at this moment, i thought best to steal the pizza’s Nath had bought, and offer them out, like Santa would do, apparently it was a stealth steal so tbf pretty proud of myself for it. Buzzz sorted, pizza’s eaten, lets go to Venue!!
Off we walk to Venue (i imagine) get in no problems (i again can only imagine) but missing Dom and SamJ get a drink and hit the dance floor. Now the day for me was stressful, all the prep of the awards had got to me and i was very tired so decided to go sleep somewhere. I found myself face in hand on a table only tobe awaken every 5 mins by a busy body security guard, and everytime she woke me up, i shouted at her like a kid being woken up by their mother on a school day ‘I’m up i’m up’ this continued for at least 40mins and she had had enough, and toild me to dance, or leave…LOL what?!?! ‘ummmmm, ill go dance then love’. Off i pop to find out that Skipper had broke up a fight between to groups of lads, and obv Milo was trying to restart it, jumping around like a energizer bunny. Bit more drinking goes on, and Me, Nath, Milo, Skipper and Az decide to leave, leaving Spoona and Harrison to party on down. this was around half 2 i think, so not to shabby. We get outside and i make a deal with a driver out there, ‘u take us to dixy chicken then the G and i’ll give u a tenner’, not a bad deal for a lil drive, he agrees then everyone piles in the taxi……but me, only space for 4, no worry lads, i’ll run. WOW big mistake, but off i jog, and get to the G in good time, dont call me the gloucester Steve Cram for nothing ya na;). Now inside the G i am quite hungry. Go see monika, who somehow realised i was drunk, and i was very confused that all i could order was a pizza, believe me, i asked for everything else, only to be refused. I inform Candice that her brests are fantastic, but that so are buzzzz’s, she understands. I piss of a cash player by nearly sitting on him, raise with Scottys chips, obv not realizing that the dealer was shuffling, and then bump into Phil Mc, nice lil suprise and he is as drunk as we r, tell him he should have came out with us, and ask how was his night, ‘yeah good night, just been at circus all night’ hahaha, should have known, mortal only from one casino, vvvvgg Phil. We get in a taxi, back to mine, so random kid is stood near my drive, so i tell him where to go. Play some evo, kick nath out my bed, and share with Az nath on my sofa, Milo on the Chair, and skip somewhere else.
I wake up in the morn to find that i had called the taxi driver a Knee cap, as i asked him if he preferred head shoulder knee or toes, and decided he was dull, so obv a knee cap. Boys reflect on a good night out and leave. Now im left with no-one in the house, but spoona and buzzzz car on me drive. I try to ring buzz, and no response. Spoona txts and says he will be round in 20 to get the car. We are chattin about the noght at me door, when he tells me that him and Hara got a stalker in Venue, but seemed unhappy about this. She told him he was pretty too, which is class!! Still talking about the night when unannounced a car turns up which Buzzzz steps out of along side his mother. 1st thing he says, ‘lads need to know what i did to my ankle last night, coz i think its broke’!! WOW, big shock, can only think he did it when getting chucked out of bambu, but off he go’s with his mother driving his car away, to the hospital. Spoona goes to work, and the xmas night out is over,
I’m sure there is loads to add to this, like i said i was very very very drunk, Boys feel free to add. All i can say is, i had a Awesome night, with Awesome lads, and enjoyed every bit, apart from about 2mins of it. Cheers Fellas

Just to let everyone no, get to mine at a reasonable time for drinking games and some lil treats. Got a canny bit of booze in, but need some more, some bring some cans too.
